It is to imagine disempowerment; there are many, many, many lessons presented to the self that would impose this impression - one that is lasting: to be a laborer, to be a slave, to be one who works the entire lifetime to accomplish little, to be one who is in a position to observe abundance when the self has none. It is important for all to recognize these lessons for all have experienced similarly - to recognize the lesson of lack versus abundance, for it is a lesson provided to all humans. It is an experience that all humans have garnered many, many, many times.
