The Path to Healing

Teachings - Thoughtform

It is to recognize that all that is judged in another has been judged in the self many, many times before by others - it is the self that has embraced the judgment of another. It is this that creates the thoughtform. It is to recognize that the self as a young child does not judge the self; the self is outwardly seeking, the self is love, enthusiasm, energies that draw others to the self – until the bodies from previous lifetimes join with the self. It is then that all previous lesson failures are available to the inner Teacher to draw forth energies that cause the self to take notice of that which is occurring around the self with something more than mere curiosity; for it is a child that is curious, that is willing, that is able to experience all things without exclusion for there is little to no fear. Fear is implanted, imposed upon the small being by those who guide the young consciousness – those known as the parents, the caregivers, the siblings, the peers; fear is unnatural to the new being.

Once the bodies from previous lifetimes join with the current bodies, those fears, phobias, addictions – indeed behaviors that have been carved steadily, deeply, throughout the psyche - begin to appear, begin to dominate, begin to change who this young being was just hours, days, weeks, months, one or two short years prior. Now the thoughtforms that have been created by the self, nurtured, watered, overly fed, lifetime after lifetime, have rejoined with the self. A passing remark by a caregiver or a parent, prior to the time when the child can think rationally, has been elevated, provided with tremendous importance, for it is the energies activated, drawn forth by the inner Teacher, that have emphasized the importance of this event. The self believes that the parent has damaged the self; the self takes words that could have been stated with a chuckle and states them in a voice of deadly seriousness – that which damages the self deeply, reawakening the wound of previous lifetimes. The self’s behavior begins to shift based upon this reawakening. The self’s actions and reactions begin to follow those carved for the self previously through many lifetimes.

It is important for all students to recognize that the belief system did not originate in this lifetime; indeed, all are composites, all have lived many, many lifetimes. All have experienced many, many things. All have learned many lessons. All have failed many others - that which continues to distress the self, that which continues to result in lesson failure in this lifetime, are those lessons that have yet to be learned. The belief system is the source of all energies that result in failure for the student – failure to embrace that it is the self’s thinking that waters, that nurtures the belief system states that the student has yet to experience adequately in order to reveal that which is faulty that lies within. The Teacher will continue to draw forth lesson after lesson after lesson in an attempt to show the student that which is believed by the self, that which is known to be faulty by the inner Teacher, that which has yet to be discovered as such by the self.

As negative energies are released from the bodies, quieting of the mind becomes far more likely; it is for the student to satisfy the self with a few moments of restive thinking, of peace, listening to the music that the self finds opens the heart and to recognize that it is the ego that speaks to the self until the majority of the lessons have been learned. The ego, the unhealed portion of the self – it merely reiterates the story that has been constructed by the self again and again and again, until the story has been addressed directly, until it has been revealed as false, until the new story has been written. Failure to pay attention to that which is being stated within the mind ensures that these thoughtforms shall remain; all things need be addressed – all things need be addressed directly. If the self cannot resolve that which is being stated to the self, the physical teacher need be engaged to assist the self. It is important for each to seek outwardly for assistance.

Recognizing that if the self will judge the Teacher, how on earth can the self stop judging others? The teaching provided by Te' Auna earlier was masterful indeed, for she has learned that judgment is firmly rooted in the thoughts of the self; if each student embraces this teaching for the self and begins to recognize that all that is thought of another is merely residue – that which has been thought of the self, then different action, reaction can be selected in future. The self will find the self laughing when the self sees someone poorly dressed and will recall the self in the poorly buttoned shirt or the mismatched socks or the tie that did not go with the suit, the dress with the broken zipper at mid-day, the skirt that was torn – discovered after a full day of work. It is to recognize that all that is judged in another has been judged in the self many, many times before by others - it is the self that has embraced the judgment of another. It is this that creates the thoughtform.

It is to recognize that it is the mind that prohibits progress for the self. It is to understand that the Teacher cannot aid the student if the student is not focused upon understanding the mind. The mind – the source of all story that demands defense and protection; the mind – the source of pain, suffering; the mind – the source of demands made under the guise of the physical body. It is the mind that is most difficult for the student to train, to recognize its myriad tricks and to abort them by stating, “I shall be focused. I shall prohibit thinking of this sort. I shall experience spiritually.” This cannot occur until the mind has been trained, quieted, for the mind seeks the attention of the self at all times.

It is to watch, to observe the mind - to spend 20 or 30 minutes every day sitting with a pad and pencil, closing the eyes and observing the mind, notating each experience - closing the eyes once again, waiting for the mind to interfere with the quiet that has been suggested by the inner Teacher. It is this quiet – once the self is able to truly quiet the mind – that the inner Teacher thrives within; for it is now that the inner Teacher can be heard. Prior to the self’s ability to quiet the mind, it is the mind indeed that speaks to the self. Those students with lesson plans focused upon the intellect have the greatest degree of difficulty in quieting the mind, for the mind is always thinking, thinking, thinking - observing, solving, fixing. It is the self that must be firm, that must find that which is regarded as ‘magic’ for the self, to quiet the mind and to recognize that it could take months, potentially years, of use prior to the self experiencing true quieting of the mind.

To understand the experiences of the self that are brought forth through story, created by another who has lessons belonging to the self, is difficult, for the self embraces the story provided to the self by another who has read the energies surrounding the self. These energies often contain the thoughtforms of the self; these thoughtforms are those particles of matter that have been created by the self through emotional thinking.
